Our History
Established in April 2002, Express Technologies, Inc. was created in response to the chaotic dot-com bubble burst and the uncertainties of the industry’s future following the country’s 9-11 attack. While this was a shock to the industry, many felt the current telecom infrastructure had more fiber in the ground than would ever be needed. Express Technologies saw an opportunity to capitalize on the synergizes being offered to those with vision. Purchasing the asset from competitors fleeing the industry, Express Technologies grew during the slow revival of the once proud telecommunications industry.
In the beginning, Express Technologies’ role was often a middleman, bringing companies together to create opportunities. However, this role proved to be a key contributor in the success of many companies. Express Technologies was able to take the good will and business partnering relationships it had created with multiple industry leading clients and meld them together to benefit all parties involved.
In 2005, Express Technologies expanded by adding a Construction Department to support its client’s ISP Structured Cabling needs. The department has since grown to include full service audio visual and electronic security systems.
Since its inception in 2002, Express-Tek has gained the reputable title “Experts in Telecommunication” providing top-tier engineering, design, permitting, and construction services to the largest internet service providers in the world.
Today, Express Technologies is unique in engineering, designing, permitting and providing construction support of your fiber optic network, regardless of size. Express Technologies can build networks that include structured cabling, audio visual, security, cameras and wireless technologies.

Express Technologies is a privately held company headquartered in Fredericksburg, Virginia on the outskirts of the Washington, DC metro area. Express Technologies also serves the Virginia Beach market out of its Chesapeake, Virginia office.
Express Technologies is licensed and serves in all Southeastern states from Maryland to Georgia and west to Alabama, Tennessee and Kentucky.
